The Houston Ultimate Community would like to congratulate Sean McCall and Showdown for their success at the LiveLogic Texas Shootout last weekend. For the 4th year in a row, Sean McCall organized and ran a successful elite level tournament with cash prizes and Texas's own Showdown team won the inaugural women's division. Great work!
The Houston high school ultimate tournament is this Saturday, May 10 at Langham Creek High School. Games will start at 11am and last until around 4pm. This a great chance to come out and see some good ultimate from Houston's up-and-coming stars. Volunteers and needed for field set-up and other logistics (from 10:30a to 4p). Get outside this Saturday and work on that pre-summer tan without that pesky ultimate sockline.
As of 10:30 am, 4/27/08, games are on.
Rain is expected to be on the way, but as of now the fields are dry and ready to go.
We might have to make a game time call, but as of this moment, it's just cloudy with some rain clouds on the way.
Starting on 4/24 through May, Thursday is Ladies Night!
We will meet at Cleveland Park at 6:30 p.m. to practice our ultimate skills like throwing, catching, cutting, marking, etc.
This is intended for all experience levels. Beginners...come out to work on your throws, ask questions, learn new skills, and develop your confidence. Club players...sharpen your skills for the season and help grow our community.
Location: Cleveland Park, 4100 Memorial Drive, Houston 77007
Meet in open area next to softball outfield.
