What is HUC and its Vision?

The Houston Ultimate Community (HUC) is a non-profit organization established to:

• Streamline Ultimate organizations/communications across the Houston metropolitan area.
• Enhance competitive Ultimate growth and its principles of "spirit of the game".
• Proactively Develop Ultimate awareness via community outreach programs.

In order to maximize these goals, HUC intends to focus on obtaining exclusive playing fields to serve as a centralized headquarters for Houston Ultimate.

What is HUC's first focus?

HUC intends to follow its vision in the order listed above. Its first mission is to bring organization to the Houston community by setting up a sound administrative foundation in order to streamline Ultimate organizations/communications across the Houston metropolitan area. Immediate actions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Enhanced Website features/capabilities/services for Ultimate players
• Increased communication/awareness of Ultimate events and know-how to Ultimate Players and new Ultimate players (including schools, etc).
• By-laws with regularly scheduled meetings, posted meeting notes, and financial assessment of what it takes to obtain (lease or purchase) fields for exclusive Ultimate usage.

From there, HUC plans to sponsor new activities/events to expand competitive Ultimate growth and raise Ultimate awareness, both in the community and for the community. The sky is truly the limit for HUC and its supporters. HUC can and will be whatever the Houston Ultimate Community makes it!

How will HUC get money?

HUC intends to proceed down multiple paths to keep its financial necessities aligned with its objectives. HUC will host and provide multiple fund-raising events/services over the next several months and beyond to achieve its playing field goals. However, fund-raising alone will not make the Houston Ultimate Community what it needs to be. HUC Sponsorship is greatly needed.
