Our turnout was very poor last weekend - only 5 people showed up. With a few subs, we were able to play our games and have a lot of fun. But seriously, we need everyone there to be a winning team and to have even more fun! We dropped from 2nd place to 8th in one weekend. Please remember that you signed up to play on a team, not to play pick up when you feel like it. Things come up, sometimes you can't make it. We totally understand, but we need to know if you won't make it so we are sure we have enough people out there. Only 2 people notified us last week that they wouldn't be able to come, and no one said they wouldn't be able to make it in their sign up info.
Summary:
SHOW UP. It's fun. The weather is not that bad.
IMPORTANT: Bring a toy this week for toys for tots. Even if you won't be there for all 2 games, drop off your toy. Or give it to some who will be there if you are out of town. HUC is a non-profit organization that takes pride in their charity contributions - and you should too. You are part of the Houston Ultimate Community.

Seriously people. Our turnout even before last week has been pretty pathetic. It's even worse not to notify Cat or Dave ahead of time if you know you're not going to be there. Some of you haven't shown up to a single game. If your work schedule changed or something else came up, that's fine. Just send an email to let the team know. It's not too late to turn it around -- both your attendance and our record. Even if you haven't made it out to a game yet, you're still welcome and encouraged to get out there.
Don't forget your toys on Saturday. If you're new to winter league, you should know that people take the charity donation very seriously. Don't flake on this.
