Texas High School State Tournament

12/31/1969 - 19:00

As we are fast approaching the deadline for submitting bids for this year's high school state tournament (scheduled for Saturday, March 22, 2008 in College Station TX), we'd like to point out the following:

1. Bids that are postmarked by Saturday, March 1, 2008 will be considered on time (with a team registration fee of $125).

2. Bids that are postmarked after Saturday, March 1, 2008 will be considered in the order they are received (based on available field space). A late fee of $50 will be assessed (resulting in a team registration fee of $175).

Bonus Pickup : Monday, Dec. 31st

What a great day for Ultimate! For anyone looking to play some pickup this afternoon, there's a game on the northside (Klein High School) at 3pm.

Here's a map: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=16715+Stuebner+Airline+Rd,+Spring,+TX+7737...

The playing field is behind (west of) the football stadium. Bring a light and a couple different colors of dark (in case there's enough ppl to play cut-throat). Hope to see you out there!!!

Pickup ON for December 22nd

Plan on playing pickup/mini hat tournament this morning (Dec. 22nd) at 10 am.

As of right now, the amount of rain we're supposed to get this morning is pretty forgiving (only tenths of an inch). As long as you don't mind getting a bit damp, the fields should be good to go.

Bonus league day: Sat. Dec. 22nd

Great news!

We have secured the UH fields for open play this coming Saturday, December 22nd, a day there were no league games previously scheduled. Come out, play, and have a good time.

We'll basically make it a mini-hat tournament and form teams from whomever shows up. 10 am to 1 pm. You can bring your friends and family!

Dec. 15th league games cancelled

Hi all.

Unfortunately, even though the fields are okay at _this_ particular moment in time, they will likely not be by the time games are to begin. The rain is just beginning in the Rice/UH area as I type this. In addition, with thunderstorms likely all morning, there's a reasonable chance we'd have to call games because of lightning irrespective of the field conditions.

Scheduling the Winter League Tournament

The winter league-ending tournament might change dates from February 2nd to January 26th because of scheduling constraints. HUC is taking a poll to see which day you, as a league player, would prefer.
Choose your date here!

Support for ultimate communities in the south region is our primary concern. The Mardi Gras ultimate tournament in Baton Rouge is currently the same weekend as the winter league tournament.

Local Tournament

Couldn't signup for winter league but still want to play some weekend ultimate? The folks at Terra Verde Community Church are hosting a tournament on Dec 15 in Tomball.
